  I have realized that in digital cameras, specialized detectors help to {focus|concentrate|maintain focus|target|a**** automatically. The sensors of some video cameras change in contrast, while others employ a beam of infra-red (IR) light, specially in low light. Higher specs cameras sometimes use a combination of both models and might have Face Priority AF where the digital camera can 'See' the face as you concentrate only on that.
