The actual comparison also needs information about camera distance. I plan to record the head angle, the crop, and any hair hiding the cheeks. For a fairer comparison, I would choose pictures with similar framing before discussing proportions. I would keep the original files and place these observations in separate notes, so another family member can revisit the comparison. An uncertain outline label should remain provisional, especially when the two pictures differ in pose or when part of the jaw is hidden. How would you document uncertainty without making the notes difficult to read?
